Comprehensible by construction.
Your partner is given the words your reviews say you know, and speaks inside them. New words arrive slowly on purpose, a few per conversation, only when you can understand them from context.
Every other app talks at a fixed point in a course, or grades every sentence you say. Tongueforge does what none of them can: it speaks from your own memory. Your partner uses the words your reviews say you know, adds at most one new word at a time, and never scores you. Speak or type, in seven languages.
The scheduler has always tracked how well you know every word. Now something speaks to you from that, and hands new words back to it.

Meet a word you want to keep? Tap it. It enters your normal review schedule, introduced properly and never tested cold. The conversation feeds the same spaced-repetition engine that made the conversation possible.
Conversations carry forward. The words you reached for last time come back until they're yours, and last week's thread becomes this week's opening line. One tap to continue.
Nothing you say is scored or corrected while you speak. Afterward, a short note points out at most a couple of phrasings worth a second look. No counts, no red marks, nothing to freeze over.
A doctor's appointment, an interview, a call you're dreading? Describe it and your partner role-plays it in the words you already know, so you walk in rehearsed. Kept on your device until your event, then cleared.
Long-press any line and the app explains the grammar behind it, in plain English until you're ready for more. It's the app teaching, so your conversation stays just a conversation.
Your partner is an AI, running on a large language model through Tongueforge's own service. Speech recognition happens on your device, and only your text ever leaves it. There are no counters or meters to watch, though on a marathon day we might ask you to pick it up again tomorrow.
The conversation partner is part of Tongueforge Plus: $4.99 a month, or $34.99 a year, after a seven-day free trial. One language stays free forever, and you can meet your partner in a short conversation before you decide.
